Blown transmission? Broken clutch? Recomendations please

Hey guys last night i was backing out of my driveway and when i put it into first gear and let the clutch out there is a loud grinding noise no matter which gear i put it in. So if it is the clutch what do you guys out there recomend. I auto cross so i want something that grabs good but its also my daily driver i already have a aftermarket clutch and short shift. So let me know what you guys think

Sounds like your throw-out bearing. Replace it with a new stage 1 ACT or Exedy clutch is what I'd recommend for Auto Cross.

Agreed I will also check your shift linkage while your under that beast you ight just have a bind. So if the problem is in reverse is it also apperent in first gear it is the same rod

I'd guess something is broken in the trans or shift linkage then, throw out bearing wouldn't affect shifting with the motor off..

Ya it wont move in any gears it seems like its just slipping

my buddy had this same thing happen... and it had turned out that his axle popped out.... i would check it out before you start throwing parts at it.
