Brake lights out?

Hey guys, so I was checkin out more stuff on my car (very slowly coming together) I was checking all the lights on them and what not and I realized that both my brake lights were out. So I have a few questions

1) What size of bulbs and is there a specific color or anything that I should be getting?

2) Could this be a fuse related problem?

3) Is there anything else that would cause this?

Always check your fuses first its a good starting point otherwise it will be bulbs or a bad ground

usually its clear the housing should provide the color
