Broken oil cap

i went to check my oil and i was gonna add some in and when i took the oil cap off it broke? WTF?? the part that screws in broke off? never heard of that b4 thought it was pretty weird. happen to neone?

i never saw it on a honda product, but chrysler had a bad problem with it

i dont kno but good thing i checked my oil...strange.

lol. my gsr had its cap on so tight when i did its first oilchange. i was lazy and tried to tap it w/ a hammer sideways to loosen it. it broke off about a half of the part your supposed to grip when you turn.

Post in the correct section next time.

Try lubricating the oil cap with oil and the place that is goes on. Well at least thats what I do.

I had the old one on my hatch break at the threads.
