Bushings, bushings, bushings...

Put my car up in the air to put my Beaks bar on, and found that my bushings could stand to be replaced. Well, those that are still there: one of my LCA bushings is quite literally GONE. Been looking around, doing research, trying to figure out what to buy. I read Energy poly is good, Energy poly is crap, Hardrace is good, screw Hardrace, spherical joints...so on and so on. This is a summer daily, and it does see its share of rough roads, but I am what you call an aggressive driver  So I think I want to upgrade, but don't know what to get.

-I was looking at an Energy master set, which of course contains bushings I didn't even know I needed, but is it worth the $140? Has anyone done their bushings without access to a press? I could always cave and buy a cheap one I guess...

-Trailing arm bushings. Mine are nice and crackly. I've heard good things about the Hardrace ones, but are they better than, say, the Prothane or even the Energy ones?

-Would I be better off just getting new rear LCA's? Mine don't look bad, and I'm assuming I will not find a good aftermarket arm that accepts the poly bushings, but it was something I was considering a while back...

I guess the TL;DR version is: what replacement bushings do you guys use? Poly? Hard rubber? Stock? I want opinions on how they feel, drive, last, all that.

Thanks in advance.

I have energy suspension in my front ucas/lcas and I have no complaints. Im contemplating getting the HardRace front lcas and tie rod's as well as the trailing arm bushings, let me know what you think if you pick them. There's a link somewhere in my build thread from endo on how to get bushings in without a press if you want to look for it.

I've used energy suspension bushings on all my rides and they do make a difference. On my escort gt use different the ES rack and pinion bushings and it sharpened my steering quite a bit. Master kit is worth it install them all even if you don't need some of them. They last alot longer.

They do seem to last a while? Some guys on another forum were slamming them, saying that they fail quickly and that hard rubber was the only way to go...

Front and rear what? Lmao......
Help with what? Stock rubber, or polyurethane. That's pretty much all there is to it....

I bought the Energy master set, and a year later, only put the rear shock bushings in...

It's worth mentioning that one year later those shock bushings are still in great shape though.
