Cam Seal Replacement

I am currently in the progress of replacing my cam seal in my 1990 Integra GS. I bought a new alluminum seal because the plastic one that is in it, just isnt cuttin it. I am having some problems getting the seal out, is there anyone who could offer some advice? I was told that I could get it out without taking the whole cam, and everything else out. Is this true... Any advice is appreciated!

which seal? there are three seals. two on the cam shafts on the cam gear end and one cam plug to the right of the distributor. the one by distrib you can do w/o removing cams. just take off valve cover and remove cam cap which the seal is mounted to. simple as that. the other two must be done with cams off.
