Can Any1 Help, Car Wont Run

Problem
Car starts up then shuts right off. It back fires when ever i attempt to startt it it would run for a few seconds then shut completly off. Sometime smoke comes from the throttle body after it shuts off
I've Have
-change Distibutor (because when i applied gas i lost complete spark)
-change Spark Plugs/Wires (because thought it might fix the no spark
-change Fuel Filter (because gasline was leaking out)
Today i started my car it ran perfectly at idle as soon as i went to drive it started messing up. Now it wont even start it just comes on makes a huge backfire noise then shut off.
help me please if any have any ideas or theory to fix this problem of mine
my car is basicly stock LS Motor,Intake,Test Pipe,No Resortor,

is your cel on?.....if so just run the codes and it should tell you. If not, i'd check your timing, and o2 sensors.

o2 sensor? why?


Check your cam/crank position sensor... it sounds like the car doesn't know where to fire spark.

where is that located im not sure if its where im thinking about

^^ not a stupid question. Good point. If you didn't have any gas in the car / your fuel pump wasn't strong enough it would do the same.

umm........ I think it's up by the distributor but I'm not sure. Crank on other cars is down on the block.

how far could it be out tho to where it won't even run? our engines are interference... I've never delt with a motor that far out of timing, but I guess it's possible.

GS=goes slow
my da jumped time once and it would not run.

got it back in time and ran just fine. i think it was off a tooth or two.

a friend said i might be have water in my gas tank i have more than enough gas in my car a half tank i put gas in it the last time i drove it and i am more than sure my fire order is correct
