car dont blow heat only cold

my climate control will only blow cold air now i put it all the way to hot and turn it on and nothing just cold. why could this be i took my climate control out a little while ago to chage bulbs but i did everything correctly and put everything back except for the black cable line that you connect from the back of the climate conrol to that little area near the passanger foot area. could that be the problem?

Yes, that cable controls the heater core valve. When it's slid to hot, it opens the valve and coolant flows through the heater core and warms the air up. Without it, you have no control over the temperature.

Did you not see the cable was attached to the heat control slider? Wouldnt that have seemed a bit obvious?
