Car wont rev past 4k rpm in any gear or in nuetral

94 integra ls w/ 98 b18c type r. Drove car to parents. Couple hours later start car and notice it wont go past 4,000rpms. No check engine and all omoters work. Any ideas? Speed Sensor?

Is your 2 step set at 4k?
If not then you're in limp mode caused by a critical CEL

i have no idea. it does it in any gear m
n in neutral. wouldnt 2 step only be in first gear? n u mean it would be a critical check engine light? but i have no check engine yet.... :(

Im not saying I know for a fact your issue is the 2 step rev limit but if you dont have a CEL then it sounds like it is.
Its activated under a set mph. If that mph is too HIGH than its always on before you can rev past the set RPM.

Does it cut at 4000 rpm in 5th gear too? Should be 80ish mph.

yes in 5th gear too. it tries to go past 4300rpms but cant. max speed i can go is 60mph but im close to 4k but not quite there yet so therez room for a couple more mph's.

it could be valet mode if its on the new software, could be triggered by the ac button or a few other switches

To me it sounds like a rev limit or 2 step is set to engage too low but apparently you have no ability to change any of the parameters on your S300 (which is incredible to me). So look elsewhere for the cause. If not limp mode caused by a check engine light then a mechanical issue such as an ignition misfire.

after looking through the s300 software im sticking by valet mode since it seems to be set from them at 4k, but im not arguing with you muckman, lolol, since your typically right!!

I said it was probably some kind of software rev limit (which could include valet mode). So we're on the same page. But it sounds like the OP has no idea how to tweak his S300 so I doubt it was accidentally clicked on. I dont know.
