CKF: Replace or Bypass?

I've got a few codes causing my car to run in limp mode (hitting 5k and no vtec), and Code 54 for the CKF is the one I can't fix. My question is, could I just do the bypass trick and leave it be or should I really fix this? I've driven almost 600 miles like this and the car drives amazing other than it won't go past 5k and has no vtec and I'd really like to get her running without restriction.

I didn't want to go ahead with it and later down the road something stupid happen and it have been needed. Thanks guys, never let me down :)
