cold/hot gauge position

what is the position of the needle supposed to be at?
people say im paranoid when it gets half way.

since ive had the car it was always warmed up and driven at a quarter of of the gauge.

i have done a heater core/ head gasket/ water pump.
it idles fine and everything.

it goes to half when i go above 65
70/3000rpm on highway it goes half.
80/3100 rpm its like right past half.
as soon as i stopped it went back to a quarter.
i got off the high way and it went to 3 quarters.
then as i started driving 35 it went back to half.

what in the ... is wrong.
or am i wrong.-

1) Make sure there's no air in the system, it shouldn't be getting hot like that at higher speeds.
2) Did you happen to put a GSR/ITR water pump on an B18B1 or vice versa?

yeah he said wait till the am and fill to the top.
before all the over heating started it would always be at like 25% all the time after warming up.

and no it was the right water pump.


he thinks whoever had the car before me put in some shit into the radiator because is was cycling slowly.
my radiator fan turns on and everything so iono.

the only thing left to do is new radiator.
and then imma be fck you and have a nice day.
