Confused with car not starting

99 GSR with 10k halogens, airbags installed with compressor, and 2 15inch subs. Car was working fine, then stopped turning on. Tried jumping it and it worked like that for a while, but would randomly shut off while driving. Now it won't jump or anything- changed battery to a high performance Optima, connections tight, but fuse box is reading low about 10-11. When we try to start it, the compressor turns on, and the sound system, but only 1 click sounds but no cranking. The people who owned it before us used to only take it to shows, leave it in the garage the remainder of the time always unplugging the battery when it sat. Is this electrical probs? Alternator bad? Ignition switch? I have no clue and don't want to spend a million dollars getting diagnostic tests from mechanics that arent knowledgeable on aftermarket add-ons... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

jump the car again and pull the negative off the battery. if it shuts off, your alternator is done and needs replacing.

If the car turns off after jumping it? Because it won't start at all even when trying to be jumped.. Are you saying to take off the negative terminal off after all the cords are disconnected too? We tried that at Autozone and the car still worked, but now it won't start at all. I'm going to try taking it out and going to autozone again to get it tested. Any other possiblities???
