crank pin ? ? ?

help how the heck do i get the pin out that holds timing belt crank pulley i tried to pry it out carefully but i dont wanna break anything and i cant seem to grab it with pliers any ideas at all on how i can get it out?

Are you talking about the key that holds the pulley on or the gear? If you're trying to remove the crankshaft pulley, just put a bar behind it or tap it with a hammer while pulling. With some finesse it will come off.

On my car the timing gear and the crankshaft pulley have two different keys.
I removed the gear with a puller the first time, took ages and was a pain.. and the second time I just smacked the oil pump with a rubber mallet until the gear was far enough back lol. (With oil pan off, I was tearing down the motor..)

thanks guys ya i got mad because i couldnt get it so i got a crow bar and put it behind the oil pump and pushed it off so i finally got it!
