Custom Exaust

Any one built they're own? I was thinking about getting some exhaust piping and building my own. Basically from the header to the axel back. Then picking up and axel back. Any knowledge or warnings would be great.

just go to a muffler shop and get a universal muffler welded on if you want that. you are probably going to run into things such as exhausts leaks

There are exhaust piping kits out there. Or you can do what you said, just don't crush bend the pipes.

Make sure you use all the right flanges and gaskets and you shouldn't have any leaks.

And make sure the piping size is the same diameter as the piping going into the axle back, don't create a bottleneck.

I had my friend's muffler shop make me a 2.5 exhaust. It's been well over a year since install and I DD the car; no leaks and works like a champ :thumbs up **knocks on wood**

ive had my 2.25 for 6th months and its been great
