Custom Project - Reverse radiator cooling route

Hello everyone,

Making a custom setup for my 75' mini with a B18C1 and i was wondering if running the radiator hoses (upper and lower) reversed would have any effect on the cooling system. (Basically reverse flow through the radiator from bottom to top instead of top to bottom)

Block --> lower port
Up through radiator
Upper port to T-stat

The reason being that the routing of the hoses would be significatly more tricky the way it was setup factory.

Not trying to be a dick but I'm looking for evidence/fact or personal experience, not opinions.

Thanks

No effect on cooling but if the level drops below the top hose the system will run dry. Thats the only negative I can think of.

You make a good point.

as long as you keep the overflow resivoir full do you think there is any other chance you could run the system dry?
