Cutting off the AC belt

If I cut the ac belt will it affect the car in any way. The compressor pulley is grinding and moving

well, you wont have A/c, but that's obvious. Also, the noise you are referring to will probably go away ;)

if u dont use a/c then u dont need to worry about cutting the belt, u can also remove the a/c compressor, n take away some weight, if u do this very becareful when u remove the a/c lines gone in to the compressor, or make sure ur a/c system is empty first.

Delete it the right way, don't just half ass it by pulling the belt man. Maybe you can find someone to buy it

no ac for me...just removed my lines today. I love riding with the windows down and the sunroof open :)

Well the R has A/C that I never use.
The Gs-R has an A/C issue for a while (relay) so I just took the belt off because I wanted the a/c later on.

Either way it won't have any negative effects, and maybe you can squeeze out like .068 Hp and 1mpg :p
