Distributor Question

[97GSRVTEC]

Hello all im brand new to this forum so bear with me. I am looking for a distributor for my 1997 gsr and i was looking on advance auto parts and i noticed that there were two cardone distributors offered. Here are the part numbers.

to engine #4301386

from engine #4301387

What i dont understand is what the to and from engine excatly means and if anybody could possibly tell me which part would fit the car.

check the code on your block you should something like this

4301****
the 4301*** is the number that they are referring to as far as i can tell its the only number on the car that comes close.

Apparently they switched up the distributer somewhere in the engine production run so you need to ID which engine you have per what shark stated.

Did you put in the specific information for the car? Whether it was a GSR or LS? Its probably a VTEC dizzy and a non-VTEC dizzy you are looking at.
