Distributor ticking? knock sensor/harness issues.

99 b18b1 in a 93 civic, there is a ticking noise from the distributor.. sounds like the valves, checked them.. twice, but its defiantly the distributor, but the internals were replaced and are new any one know what it could be? took off the cover and there is no dust.. also how important is the knock sensor?? and how would i hook it up to a 93 civic tower? i have the integra harness but it was not treated well when taken apart and im broke.. if any one has a harness diagram telling what goes where that would be awesome...

thats strange, if its ticking, something has to be broke in there.
or some thing is arching repeatedly.

take the cap off and spin it over, and have some one watch it.

both 300 miles new :( i will try.. i have another distributor off my old 93 civic engine,,, how similar will the internals be? the mounts are different i know,

not sure.
thats a single cam, so probly obd0, and your b18b1 is a obd2.

id see if a friend has one you can borrow for a bit, put it on there and if the problem persists then its probably a valve or electrical problem.
