Do you know what kind of clear they use at the factory?Your only other option is polishing it. If you put an automotive clear coat on it, your light out put will be diminished.

I work at an autobody shop in the paint department. The clear we use is thick. It's a 2k type of clear.

Lexus wants almost $800 a pop for the AFS HID headlights in my IS350. They're over $1,000 a piece w/o the discount I get. I'll keep polishing at that rate. Mine don't require all the sanding or anything, I just hit them with the buffer every time I detail the car. I wish I knew the end all cure as well though. Frequent application of 303 Aerospace slows it down, but the inevitable still occurs.
