Do all short shifter's rattle?

short shifter + es bushings

hey wsup everyone i jus purchased an alum. short shifter and the energy suspension shifter bushings and i am planning on putting it in sometime soon but i was reading through the forums and alot of people have been saying that their short shifter rattles. my question is, do ALL short shifters rattle? or is there one brand that does not rattle at all? i dont want to install a short shifter if its gonna be ratteling like crazy. thanks.

it probably rattles because of a lack of grease. I bought a b&m and that one didn't rattle after i installed it and then replaced it with a skunk2 short shifter and that one doesn't rattle either. Maybe it is from the bearing on the bottom where it conects to the shift linkage.

i have a skunk 2 shifter with es bushings as well and i havent had any rattling problems at all. the only thing i can think of is that they didnt use enough spacers where the shifter connects to the linkage and it is rattling around on the bar that is holding the shifter in
