Downhill problem!!!

Hi,
I have a 90 integra 5 speed, I recently change the fuel pump because the old one was dying. The car fine (on flat and uphill) until it was on a down hill slope. It just dye on me. I have a little bit more than a 1/4 of gas in the tank. Could it be that when I install the pump I put it at the wrong angle or wrong way? it fit perfectly when I install it. PLEASE HELP.

What pump did you put in?

I'm guessing you did not install the attachment piece that extends it more into the tank.

I dont remember what kind of pump it is cause i brought about a few months ago know that the pump is going out.

I know I have attach all the piece in the right way.

DO you think I might have the filter in the wrong angle because I notice the filter was facing upward and not on the bottom of the tank.
