electrical issue

My friend just picked up a 95 LS and has been ruuning fine for like a month now but just recently he's been having an electrical issue. He'll be driving along and then all of a sudden he'll lose all power except the car will stay running and he can continue to drive with no issues other than no headlights, no tailights, no interior lights or dashlights, wipers dead, along with no power windows, locks, radio etc... what could cause this? I know he has a BN alternator, and a BN battery.

check the fuse box he might have a loose wire somewhere thats touching and shorting out everything or maybe a loose ground somewhere

well now his car died and will run as long as he keeps his foot on the gas as soon as he lets off the car dies and needs to be jumped.
