fan turns on when trying to start.

so i went outside todat to go somewhere and my car wont start. i press the clutch in and turn the key and everything lights up and works. can hear the fuel pump running and radio works but nothing. doesnt click or anything. no cranking at all. what does happen is the radiator fan turns on and runs when the key is turned. what is causing this to happen?

Engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) gone bad? If it's faulty, sensor thinks the engine is hot when in fact the engine it's cold. I don't know about your starting problem.

hmm ive replaced that already last summer.

well i got it started but not till after alot of weird noise coming from the fuse box area and the speedo jumping around alot. what woould be causing the noise from that area that has to do with starting the car?
