Well the stock revlimiter on the b18b1 is like 7200 rpms so u were Damn near redline before u downshifted. But hopefully ur mechanic knows what he is talking about and u didn't destroy your motor.

Na....I was definitely lower than 6 when I down shiftet because I remeber when the car shut off the revs were about 6 in fourth. Anyway.......on another bad subject. We took off the heads when we looked at it from the top everything looks ok but once taken off we noticed some bent valves. Ugh! We put water in the header holes and they leak. But no damage to engine or pistons. Thank god! On top of that the ported head has bent valves also but not as bad as the stock one. Ugh!!!! Im just going to take it to the shop to get it fixed. The ported head that is not the car. :)
