Grinding Noise?

Well lately im having an issue with a grinding noise at certain rpms
Here are the symptoms:

- "Grinding" noise at 4k, and at 5.5k in any gear including neutral
- Only happens when warmed up
- No Vibration, just noise coming from front

Some ppl say its the headers, some say its a loose cat...
:???: anybody have the same prob before?

heat shields? climb underneath and check out all the bolts. try and tighten them up. I think i remember reading something about the GSR shields vibrating and making one hell of a vibration sound.

Yea, they do that quite a bit. The majority of the time it isnt because of loose bolts. The shield rots around the corners where the bolts are and just breaks away causing a nasty ass sound in certain rpm ranges. Welding ftmfw! Aftermarket ftmfw too!
