Hatch is unlocked, but won't open

While removing the rear interior panels, I hit the inside of the latch mechanism with the panel and heard a locking noise as if I locked the car. Now, the only way I can open the hatch is to have the key fully turned in the hatch while simultaneously sliding the hatch lever. Anyone have any idea what I did and what I can do to undo it?

same here, its the solenoid i think its called. its in the latch part,sry not sure what its called
very common problem, i see it as a safetly feature lol someone cant just get into it unless they have the key
