Hatch on 92 GSR won't close

So my hatch doesnt close. The lever on the bottom left is really loose. Every time I hit a bump it comes up. Ne idea what it could be. I dont want ne1 to steal my car! Help! Thanks.

I kinda had the same problem, only mine wouldn't come open. I bought a used latch on ebay for $10 and it was a simple fix. Are you talking about the lever near the gas door? Mines not hooked up and I think I need a new cable

If you take the black cover off I think there's a nut you can tighten or loosen. I can't remember to be honest.
