I was on my way from richmond to chicago, and everything was driving like normal. I stop at a gas station to pick up some food, and when i get back in the car to drive, it makes a nasty grinding noise when i let the clutch out (still in neutral). i adjusted the catch distance of the clutch (not sure of the technical name) thinking that the clutch is just rubbing against the engine. i adjust it to a point where the noise goes away. after about thirty second of the car running (i'm outside of it), it jumps and stalls out. i get back in and start it, and the car is seemingly stuck in gear. after getting my buddy to push me thinking i just had pressure on the tranny and moving the wheels would get it lose, i realized that the car would move if i just barely let out the clutch (burning it some). the car drove all the way from west virginia back to richmond, but will not leave fifth gear. my integra friend tells me either my shift linkage is broke, or my shift fork. any input would help. if you happen to live in the central virginia area and have a tranny i can buy, i may end up having to do that, so pm me.
