help volume.

okay, just got done putting in my stock cd player and the volume doesnt go up or town when i turn the nob. But if I use the nob to adjust bas, mid, bal, etc it works any ideas?

You put IN the stock CD player? Why wouldn't you put an aftermarket one in it?

Anyways sounds like your "stock CD player" is messed up. Either that or you don't know how to work it..

i bought a stock one used it worked in the car i took it outta im more of a oem guy and cannot afford a aftermarket one.

Was the harness tampered with? There's a possibility some wires are crossed and that's why the unit isn't functioning as it should.

if wires were crossed, chances are a fuse would be blown or the radio wouldn't be functioning at all. This happens often to many stock radios.... the knob is just messed up you need a new radio. It is indeed probably why it was replaced in the first place..
