Help?

Alright so i have a 96 gsr and my brother gave his stock radio from his 2000 gsr and i wanna put in my gsr...
is this possible cause i dont know if it just plugs in or anything cause OEM radio harness is cut would i need to get another one if so which ones would fit the 2000 radio? can i use harness from another car cause im holping to go to the junkyard and just cut one from another car and solder it to my cut wires

Just try if it plugs in correctly. I mean if the harness is right and all matches perfectly then you're set. if it doesn't fit, then you need a harness from somewhere. simple as that. Be sure to disconnect the batter though, so that you won't blow up the radio on accident, since that's the last thing you'd want to do. that's just what I would consider.

yeah i know my car doesnt have a harness its all cut wires what kind of harness should i get that would fit the stereo are they all the sme from 94 to 01 or what? can i put one from a civic? or Accord? PLEASE HELP!
sucks not having a stereo...
