so. how do I know if I have a Jdm engine in my car. I just bought it for a good price. and I dont think its the stock engine in it. its a 91 LS.

not positive but it will have a certain stamp on the block.

it's what I thought. the 90-93 have b18a1 no? and arent the jdm engines for example. b16b etc.. with no a1 b2 at the end

JDM MOTORS have a B18B
its a leter two digit number letter pattern and they will have a stamp after in an oval saying HMC or something.

I didnt notice the oval. but my block says b18b. not b18b1. so. Iguess I have a jdm?

yes if it says b18b its a jdm motor, so intead of the stock 130hp, you have 145hp, and instead of 121 tq, you're at 127 tq.

i forget what they use back home but i think its slightly higher octane. but you should be fine, idk thats one reason the power is higher is due to the higher comp and the gas difference

yeah. needs a lil bodywork and some paint. and new seats. but other than that, all stock. except for the engine. still on original 14" stock rims! ugly!
