What numbers are we talking here?
Any compression higher than the ecu is designed for will cause the ecu to overcompensate to run smooth and funk up your ignition/fuel/afr.
Basicly in a limp mode.
If your burning too much fuel it sounds like it's running your injectors in a higher cycle and will probably burn them out soon.
So your dealing with inefficient fuel combustion, Ontop of spark plugs that will probably foul soon and aren't designed for high compression.
Invest in some real tuning equipment.
