Hunting Idle problem

So I have been trying to figure out where my vacuum leak is coming from so I start my car. It warms up and then the hunting idle begins. I put my finger in the throttle body and cover the hole leading to the fitv and it still hunts. So i put my finger over the hole that leads to the icav and then it starts to idle correctly. So from what I have read that if you do this then your iacv is messed up. What I want to know is there a way to fix it or do i just need to replace it?

try and clean the iacv 1st....also check the coolant line for pin holes as well. the iacv might be clogged up a bit with carbon deposits, or the screen is dirty...g/l

I tried cleaning it about a week ago but it didn't do anything. I'm gonna try doing it again but if it doesn't fix it do suggest replacing it?
