I have misfires?

So decided to drive my car for the first time in a few weeks and my check engine light is now on.
I drove it up and down the street (probably two miles) and no issue, no idle fluxes, no power problem, no odd sounds.
So I decided to pull the codes, they were 72 and 74, random misfires in cylinders 2 and 4
But my car runs great.
Spark plugs are brand new with less then 1k miles on them, the wires are a bit old, the distributor is like new too.

Things I have done though are: paint vc, change vc studs, change vc gaskets.

I don't know if any of that could have messed something up.

Rather not take it to a shop and pay a lot

Maybe pick up a new set of wires to start. They could be torn or not fully doing their job on those 2 cylinders.

It was replaced because the original went bad, so I had a new one installed.

I'm thinking the wires because even when I'd have the car running and pull a plug out it would start to act out. But was like that for all four, two and four had the same effect on the car running as did pulling one or two.

Did you check your cap & rotor? Do you have the another set of plug wires you can test with?

I'm checking the dizzy tomorrow, I wish I did but I don't have another set to test with unless I go buy some.
