I Need A Little Bit Of Professional Advice

My name matches again lol
Would a b18 block bolt on to the b17 head anyway????
If you're talkin B18B1 then yea, that's an LS/VTEC, but it's more than just simply bolting it up. You'll have to find a way to get oil to the VTEC head.

B18C or C1...most likely a direct fit...but I'm not sure on anything else. I know a Poor Man's Type R involves a B16 head on a B18C1 block as the main parts. B17 should work excactly the same since it's based on the B16, but don't take my word for it. :google:

alright i appreciate it
i looked up info it appears the b18 block is like 3 inches taller than the b17 and i know just right there is going to have fitting issues for something somewhere somehow...
but ill still try my best.
i love this car to death
not a single scratch interior or dash

You won't have any issue putting an LSVtec in your car, even though the b18 block is taller than the b17.
I don't know why you are going to go LSV. You said you have a "blown rod", I find that hard to believe. My guess is that you have a spun bearing. So get new bearings. a crank, a gasket set, new oil and water pumps, etc. and rebuild the B17.
LSVtec is for DAs, not DB2s.

That makes sense. And I hope that's true

I think it be cheaper just to get another long block. If your going to build the motor that another story. I belive it's the bearing that took a dump the question is how bad did it scar/damage?

Yeah once I open it I'll see how bad it was. I have 2 b18b and one b18c I justvhope if worse comes to worse I'd wanna use one of them I guess

best advice replace all the pistons, piston rings, rods, etc. no need to replace just one rule of thumb.... if one goes they all go shortly after that so just rebuild the bottom end of the block wouldnt be more then a grand with everything and it would definately be worth it

Its not hard to build a engine; you need 2 torque wrenches, socket set for 2 drives, and some misc shit. Don't have someone else do it, its a learning experience. I failed rebuilding my 454 engine 4 times in my old monte carlo until I got it right. Now I'm pretty fucking good at engine rebuild.
