i need some ideas- i need HELP

I don't know if you are all aware, but i have reactive arthritus. This means there is an infection in my body. and it is linked to my knee. My body attacks my knee and it cripples me. Every morning i wake up and hope i can walk. every nite i go to sleep praying this will leave me. i have had this illness for almost two years.

i was on crutches for 6 months and walked with a limp for over a year. everyday for the past 18months i am in pain. some days i can barely walk and others i can't at all. i relly on pain killers to get me through the day.

so here is my current problem. i went to the doctors on friday. the medicine i am currently on is no longer working. the medicine i need costs $15,000 a year. this medicine has virtually no side effects and will let me lead a normal life. the medicine i have doesn't work and the medicine i need i can't have :cry: .

so i need realistic ideas on how to raise the money. this is very serious for me so no dumbass comments.

and what really sucks the most, is NO ONE can relate to me. i feel like i am all alone.

fuck it... start a local charity for yourself. what have you got to lose? theres no shame in charity if you need it and it will help you out more then you can help yourself.

find some boyscouts or something in your area and ask them to help you raise money. for real dude :thumbs up 15k a year is a lot

Doesn't health care or some med plan cover that, I'm sure it would end up being cheaper if you could get on a plan.

insurance doesn't cover this medicine. it is so new that it is not under a health plan or anything.

I work for a medical supply company...and i have alot of patients with similar problems and i kno sometimes they use alcohol...cuz it nulls the nerves and easies the pain...i'm not kidding around...i talk to them and thats seriously wat they do. its so bad that they use that resort.

you know mojo is right, i have friend his dad has really bad back pain to the point where he cant walk and smokes weed like every day, they do have medicinal marijuana, and its controlled so you never have to buy it off the street

already looked into that, it is not legal yet in maryland.

What i need is to figure out some way to raise the 15K, not cope with the pain. i cope with pain every minute of every hour of everyday. I just want to lead a normal life .
