Ignition Switch Question

So my ignition switch is starting to go, I've had issues here and there where I start the car and it turns right back off. This morning it took me about 5 tries before I got it to stay running. I found I had to manually turning it back to the run position, it wasn't popping back enough on it's own.

Anyway, my question is do I need to replace the whole lock cylinder or just the switch part on the back?

ususally you just have to replace the ignition cylinder for most problems with it, but if its just not popping back from start to on, it might just need some wd40 or a new spring

Yea you don't need all of it usually, last time I did an ignition i ended up just doing the wires myself...where in MD you at?

I'll give it a spray tonight, see if it helps.
