Ignition switch replacement

If this is somewhere please let me know and I will remove this thread.

Basically my ignition key and lock cylinder is refusing to turn (no it's not wheel lock, I engaged that while trying to turn the key lol) basically I'm going to replace it this weekend and was wondering if anyone had done this and made a write up or could offer some pointers.

I have a 97 rs, all the tools I should need and a case of beer.

You bare referring to the electrical part of it that extends down into the fuse box area? Just 2 screws at the top near the steering wheel and that's it from what I can recall. I did the one on my Integra when I was helplessly throwing parts at it to get it to start running again.

Basically yeah. I went to go to work the other day, put the key in and it wont turn. I'm trying to plan ahead for once and I'll probably try to make a decent write up on it after, with lots of pictures lol.

My 2000 integra GS has the same problem sometimes. Normally what I do is take the key out, put it back in slowly, and and force it a little. It's worked so far, but I haven't checked if there's any damage to the lock cylinder yet.
