guys....i havent posted on here in a really long time...neway..im thinking about going into the navy...i kno some people on here have joined...i wanna hear some thoughts and stories on how everything is going and how you like it...im reallly thinking about going so any feed back would be nice...thanks

i have a friend that is in the navy stationed in japan. he loves it. he's been to a bunch of underground meets and all that. even learned how to drive RHD. i think he's coming back next year, but he's planning to ship a car here as well. im not sure if the said a supra rz or some shit like that. i would've done it if i didn't have a girlfriend.

from the looks of it. it looks like the marines, army, and air force are fighting the war. i doubt the navy would be called in since there's no sea warfare. but i could be wrong. im not exactly sure what he does either since its illegal to lay out his duties.

i have friend in the navy and he loves it, he hasnt been to iraq his tour is mainly in korea and shit but loves to see the world he is a control room operator whatever the hell that is mainly works with computers so yeah sign up man

One of my good friends went to the Navy. He was stationed in San Diego for two years, took a quick trip to Iraq on the USS Ronald Reagan, now lives back in TX studying air traffic control

There's a good amount of all branches in Iraq... but Marines death count has been pretty outstanding. My friend has just left for Iraq for a year and half about two weeks ago. He graduated HS in 2006 and got out of bootcamp September 8th of last summer... it's crazy to think the kid you sat next to in class is fighting a war for this country.

But on the subject of the navy...

My brother-in-law is a graduate of the USNA (United States Naval Academy) and is going to be a commissioned officer in the Navy for about 5 years. Great bonuses and the Navy doesn't look all too bad. Go in as an officer (if you can)... more money, better perks, and great living arrangements. I am currently thinking of going to college on an ROTC scholarship and commissioning as an officer in either the Marine Corps, Navy or AirForce. Good luck with everything, and remember... the military isn't for everyone... so don't be discouraged if you realize it's just not the path you want to take.

BTW:
There is no guarantee that the Navy will not be deployed to Iraq. My SMI (senior marine instructor) told me that certain platoons in the Navy are training side by side Marines to be in combat. This war won't be over for a long time, we're in it for the long haul.

i was a 1st class airmen in ROTC in high school during freshmen and sophomore year. it was pretty cool for awhile until all the bullshit started happening. couldn't get through a class without someone arguing with the teacher, so we all get disciplined. or even the commanders were biased against middle class students. i don't remember how many ribbons i had.

Why would you bring back a supra?? I beleve the USDM supra is actually more powerful. Not to mention I think the RZ ws the less powerful single turbo. If it were me it would be Skyline or bust. Well, id settle for a STI Type RA Spec-C

I'm a cadet Gunnery Sergeant right now in Marine Corps ROTC... I knew i should've joined my freshman year... but meh, better late than never. lol. We never go through the BS though... mainly because we've grown to know the facts about the war and have been able to give our opinions through speeches and such for class grades. We rarely have any outbursts.
