I have an Alpine with full speed cable and i love it. It kinda sucks to get to the middle letters in the alphabet cause you have to spin the knob a million times but i just take the ipod out and switch it myself. It really is a help way better than a tape deck/am,fm tuner/cd's
x2!!!

but a lot of companies now actually offer ipod connectivity on their lower range decks. my friend katie has a pioneer 2900mp with an ipod jack on the front. cant get any simpler than that, my alpine has it on the back.

just get a Monster RCA Aux input. thats what i use adn the sound is better than cds. just make sure your deck has aux inputs.

Don't wanna Thread Jack but is there a way to hook the ipod to the stock radio in a 98 LS or just upgrade to a newer midrange ???
BUMP!

is this possible? i want to hook my ipod up directly to my stock acura cd player ( i personally hate aftermarket cd players). i've been looking on ebay but havent found anything in regards to this.

**edit**

perhaps something like this will work.... hmmmmm

most factory head units have a cd changer input which has L,R channel and data(control cable)
you can use that as an aux input
or check this out(usa spec adapter that lets you control it from stereo)

as for the original post, theres an ippod adapter for your stereo, my wife has one in her honda and it works great with that adapter.

what i dont understand is why didnt you check the user manual for that stereo. it has ALL information in it.
including the supported acessories like ipod hd radio, sat radio ETC...
it even gives you specific model numbers of the acessories
