Is the car supposed to start when you unplug the ECT sensor?

I trying to figure out why my D4 keeps blinking. It could be related to the TCM, but I checked it out already. It appears fine. I have low idle and trouble starting after I go for a long drive. I am wondering if this all relates to the ECT sensor.

I got myself a 19 mm deep socket, but it wouldn't fit onto the ECT sensor because of the protruding connector.

Do you have any idea how to remove the ECT sensor?

An open end wrench is what I use. Typically you just have to crack it loose and it'll thread out by hand. Trouble starting after a long drive can be several things. You are on the right track though.
