jdm 98 integra type r ecu?

so i found a type r ecu on craigslist and i was wondering if that would be able to go on my 97 ls?
i talked with the guy and he said that it should be about to becuz of the wiring harness. i jus wanna make sure before i get and if this is a smart decision to get the ecu?

it will work...but you will be throwing a CEL for vtec

Dont get it. It is an ECU for a VTEC motor, which you do not have.

^ not necessary...but op, CEL = check engine light, the ecu is looking for vtec and you dont have it...keep the stock ecu
