jump starts then dies?

Hello all, alittle update first before i begin. As some of you might remember my GSR was stolen in January and insurance didnt give me shit sooooo after saving up i bought a 97 RS, ill post pics when i get her home. Now with the problem: (mind you the car has been sitting for a year)

So we jump started the car and when we remove the jumper cables it imediately dies? Is this because the batter has just been dead for so long?

yeah if your removing the jumper pack as soon as you start it and it still dies the battery doesn't contain enough charge to keep run get a new one or try to charge it with a charger...
then see where your at...

Also it could be your altanator not trying to charge your battery

How old was the battery before you let it sit?

yea i'm on the alternator ban wagon.

either that or bad battery.

im not sure but the car has definately been sitting for a year.... im gonna try the battery first and then the alternator

Bad alternator, take off alternator and have it tested, if you have a voltimeter you can check the voltage coming out of it, no voltage= bad alternator
