Light Dimmer into Bass Knob

I want to turn my Light Dimmer in my 96 Integra into a bass knob.

I'm pretty sure this is possible, but I would like feed back and even a TUT thread on a DIY.

Anyone have any idea's?

That's tough, since without the dimmer knob, your interior lights won't work.

Doesnt it just control the dome light?

The light dimmer controls the light intensity of the dash cluster and climate controls, not the dome light. You could relocate the dimmer to the other side (where cruise control is/would go) and put in another knob for the subs. Or, just put in a knob on the cruise control side for the subs. You could also put some kind of slider near the hand brake (in one of the removable rectangle tabs in the console). So many options, just be creative.

As for a DIY, you can find info on the knobs by looking for a push to start button (I believe they show how to remove it within). Wiring up a knob should be rather easy, though.

theres mine, not too hard to do. no RIGHT way to do it just have to cut here and there and make it fit

your interior lights won't work.

you get another dimmer switch to stay plugged in, then u hide it behind the dash

u could jst put the wires straight so it could light up but all the way up... u know wat i mean bro....
