The numbers you see as the rates (either in kg or lbs) are how much weight it takes to compress the spring (1mm for kg/1inch for lbs). So a spring rated at 500 would take 500lbs to compress it 1 inch, 1000lbs to compress 2 inches, etc.BTW what's spring rates mean exactly? I know I can search but since I'm here and you guys are up might as well ask lol
The higher the number, the stiffer the ride.
Stock LS springs are 250F/120R, OEM Type-R springs are somewhere around 250F/250R. The Tanabe's I have are 302F/235R.
The stiffer the spring, the more bouncy, uncomfortable and hard the ride will become.
