The most modest drop I know of is the Eibach Pro Kit. I have them on my car and I love them. It about a 1.25/1.5 inch drop. They're a progressive rate spring, so they're soft and comfortable when going straight, and then as you turn they progressivley get stiffer the more the car leans into the turn.
Here's my car on the Pro Kit:
Those are 16 inch rims with 205/45's

And I do recommend getting a camber kit, even with these springs. I thought i could get away with not having one since I had such a small drop, but I got accelerated wear along the inside of the tread on all 4 of my tires. And I had alignments done every year in the spring, too.
