Ls vtec help

Ok before, you say wrong thread or research i just need some help.
I have researched what exactly is needed for the conversion but they are all different. Whether people leave out parts or add more to the list i didn't know i needed.

Sooo.....

Here is what im planning on getting,
im debating between a built b16 headed ported or a gsr head running around the same money.

-Here's what i got so far to the list-

Gsr Head
Vtec Solnold
Golden Eagle Full Conversion Kit (Head Gasket Included)
Distributor....

I was talking to someone and they said that's all i would need and maybe a vtec harness, but i thought i would need an ECU also, correct?

Any Help Would Be Appreciated !

Yes you need an ECU and wiring for the VTEC solenoid.

Don't forget to get a good tune on it after you get it running, very important. A GSR water pump and timing belt, a fresh new valve train won't hurt if you've got the extra coin, and ARP head studs.
