Ls/Vtec on 97 LS

OK so I'm going to attempt to do an LS/Vtec conversion this summer and I just need to know what I need. I already found the cylinder head I'm going to use as well as a chipped ecu and Vtec conversion kit. What other parts do I need? I also read somewhere that it's harder to do this conversion on a 96+ block because it doesn't have a breather box? I have no idea if this is true or not. Also, this is going to be done during an overhaul so that I don't need to pull the motor more than once.

Google reliable lsvtec it is pretty much a step by step write up. And use the search on here. There is a ton of info. Do your homework son.

I actually read that already. I guess my question is if what was stated about the 96+ block can have the vonversion done or not because of the lack of the breather box that they mentioned.
