My integra is backfiring like crazy.

I just bought this car a week ago.Had to buy a new distributor for it because it didn't have one and when i go to start it up, it starts up fine but it backfires really bad. Anybody got any ideas of what it might be? It's a 95 integra gsr but it has a LS motor in it now. I noticed that the crank pulley has a little bit of play in it could this be causing the backfire?

you made sure you lined up the distributor right with the motor at top dead center? make sure you got the plug wires correct as well.

I'm pretty sure I did but I'll check again to make sure.

Did you check you timing? Might be a timing issue.

I been searching online for the correct firing order and i think that i incorrectly installed the plug wires. I feel like a dumb*** lol. I never had any problems when i did the plugs and plug wires on my civic hatch.
