im not sure, im honestly new at this myself when it comes to engines so i am trying to figure this all out myself. Its odd that it runs fine when started up, but once it begins to go to normal opeating temperature, the idle/rpms fall, and it shuts off. start it back up again and runs fine, then the check engine light comes on. and is apparently in limp mode. Im not in front of it to give you my own interpretation as my dad was the one that finished up installing the fan for me.

I have been told by a guy who is good with engines and what not that is eems to be the map sensor, and he is sticking to that guess.

for me. it seems as if once the engine begins to reach normal operation temperature, the air/fuel mixture becomes construded and makes the rpms fall and then the engine to die.

hmmmm look online and see if theres a way to check ur map sensor using a ohms gauge and test the contact points as it say and look at the resistance and see if its bad or not

ill have to see, im not sure. i have been reading up on team integra and there seems to be problems that resemble mine, not spot on or anything, but resemble it.

hmm interesting well for shits and giggles check ur grounds if u need i can supply u with a link describing how the bad grounds could cause such a prob i.e. fc3s 2nd gen rx7's

yes please do. im honestly at a loss for what the problem is. the only thing that seems to me that it could be after reading up on map sensor problems is jus that, the map sensor. so i wouldnt be able to aware if it was grounds. especially since it doesnt make sense for it to be running for a few minutes then loose few and im assuming oil pressure for the rpms to slowly drop then shut off.

I Wouldnt Even Mention This As A Possibility But I Just Remember My Fc3s Ran Great When Cold But Soon As It Warm Up And The Ecu Switched To Closed Loop I Got The 3800rpm Hesitation Nasty Problem Glad Its Over Lol

what ended up being the problem then? like i get the idea that it has something to do probably with air/fuel, but im not sure. im not versed enough in the mechanics of an engine to go straight to the source of the problem.

My Problem On My Rx7 Was The Ecu Ground And A Few Other Grounds If You Read The Write Up Ull Understand That Parasitic Drain And Bad Grounds Is One Of The Leading Causes For Sensor Malfunction I.e. Ur Maf/map Sensor Or Even Ur Crank Angle Sensor If Ur Cel Is Throwing A Tdc Code I Dont Believe Its A Maf/map Problem Personally Its Gotta Be With Where Your Cams Are Set, Timing Belt Jump, Are A Bad Reading Through One Of Your Sensors Read The Wrtie Up I Know Its A Lot But Ull Understand When Ur Done And Where Is This Car Up North Salty Roads?= More Corrosive Materials

Check your evap pulse solenoid mounted on the intake manifold... check resistance and make sure it's where it's supposed to be at. Check all evap lines, make sure to replace brittle lines. Check our your throttle body, I'm sure it needs to be cleaned thoroughly.
