neeeed help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fast

ah shit. ok so i was putting my valve cover back on and was wrenching the valve cover bolts back in. i got all the others in fine, but when i was doing the last bolt, it didnt seem to be tight enough, so i put about 5lbs of hand pressure behind it and it poped. sure enough it broke. i havent removed the valve cover yet to see the damage
what can i do?

Did it snap the bolt off in the valve cover, or tear up the bolt hole?

tore up the bolt hole

take it back off and bubble gum it together

If you just stripped the bolt hole then you can either use a heli-coil, or drill and tap to a slightly larger size. I'd prefer to do the latter.

leave it :/ my buddy lost a couple bolts on his civic and stripped a couple and his didn't leak..... Can't garuntee that yours wont but it should be fine for at least a little while
